Boudoir

Boudoir Photography in Kent, WA

This is your session. Your terms. Your power.

A boudoir session is not about what you look like. It’s about how you feel — about your body, your self, your right to take up space and be seen on your own terms. We’ve made it our work to create the conditions where that feeling is possible: a private studio, a photographer who takes direction, and a session built entirely around your comfort and your vision.

You don’t have to be in a relationship. You don’t have to have a “reason.” You don’t have to be at your goal weight, your peak fitness, or your best hair day. You just have to be willing to show up and let us do our job — which is finding the version of you that you’ve been telling yourself you’ll photograph “someday.”

Someday is now.

Who Books Boudoir?

Our boudoir clients include people in their 20s and people in their 70s. People who are celebrating milestones — a birthday, a divorce, a recovery, a transition. People who are giving the photographs as a gift to a partner. People who are giving the photographs as a gift to themselves. People who have never felt beautiful in a photograph and are ready to change that story.

Your Safety Is Everything

We operate under a three-tier consent framework that we take seriously, not as a formality but as the foundation of what we do.

Before the Session

We have a detailed pre-session consultation where you tell us exactly what you want, what you don’t want, and where your limits are. You review and sign a consent document that is specific to your session. Nothing happens in your session that wasn’t established here.

During the Session

You have the right to pause, redirect, or stop at any time for any reason. No explanation required. We check in regularly throughout the session. If anything feels wrong, we stop. Your comfort is always more important than completing a shot list.

After the Session

You proof every image before it is delivered. Any image you don’t want kept is deleted — from the gallery, from our backups, from our system entirely. Your images are never shared publicly without your explicit, separate written permission. Your session is private by default.

For Every Body

We are an explicitly inclusive studio. Our boudoir work is not designed for a particular body type, and our editing does not include body reshaping, slimming, or feature alteration. We can smooth a temporary blemish. We will not change the shape of your body.

Our studio is LGBTQ+ affirming. We use your name and pronouns. We do not make assumptions about your relationship status, your body, or your reasons for booking. Couples sessions welcome partners of any gender.

Your body is not a problem we’re solving. It’s the subject we’re celebrating.

Everything you need to know before your boudoir session — what to bring, what to expect, how to prepare your skin, what lingerie and clothing actually photographs well, and how to feel as prepared and confident as possible walking in the door. It’s candid, comprehensive, and we’ve put years of experience into it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to take off my clothes?

No. Boudoir spans a wide spectrum — from fully clothed sensual portraits to implied to more explicit, and everything we create stays within the parameters you set in your pre-session consultation. Many of our most powerful boudoir images feature clients who are almost entirely clothed. The intimacy comes from the light, the expression, and the intention, not from skin.

Who will be in the studio during my session?

Only your photographer, and any guests you explicitly invite (such as a makeup artist, or a partner if you’re doing a couples session). We do not allow additional studio personnel, assistants, or observers during boudoir sessions without your knowledge and consent. The studio space is entirely private.

Will my images ever be posted publicly?

Never without your explicit written permission, which is always optional and never required or implied. Your images are private by default. If you would like to share images on our portfolio or social media, we’ll ask separately and provide a specific model release to sign. You are always in control.

I’ve never felt comfortable with my body. Is this for me?

Yes. Most of our boudoir clients arrive feeling exactly this way. Our job is to use light, posing, and direction to show you something you may not have been able to see before. We’ve had clients leave boudoir sessions in tears — not of distress, but because they saw a photograph of themselves and, for the first time, understood what other people see. That experience is available to you right now, exactly as you are.

Is boudoir only for cisgender women?

Absolutely not. Our boudoir practice is open to all genders and gender expressions. We have worked with non-binary clients, trans clients, and men who wanted intimate portraits on their own terms. The session belongs to you, and we follow your lead on every aspect of how you want to be seen.

What Our Clients Say

“I have hated my body for thirty years. I left this session with photographs I have kept on my phone and look at when I need to remember I am allowed to take up space. I don’t have words for what that means.”
